SIOUX FALLS -- State Senator Angie Buhl will travel to Washington, D.C. Friday to meet with members of the Obama administration and attend an intimate reception with the President. Sen. Buhl is one of a small number of members of People For the American Way Foundation's Young Elected Officials Network, a network of young progressives in elected office, who was invited to the White House to discuss important issues facing states and localities.

Sen. Angie Buhl sponsored seven bills during the 2011 legislative session that dealt with a wide range of issues, from human rights to employment protections for seniors and veterans to protecting kids from toxic chemicals.  Angie worked hard throughout session, on these bills and many others, to represent her constituents' values.

The full list is available at the Legislative Research Council's website, along with more detailed information about each bill.
